Angela McCrae’s professional career has been quite an adventure for a young up & coming television/film professional. As an audio engineer, producer, director, writer, teacher & all around television broadcast technician, she has broken the glass ceiling of a male dominated technical industry as a leader & proficient team player in all facets of production. In addition to working in live broadcast news for over 10 years, McCrae has a college degree (a BS in Broadcast Journalism), has produced cable television (literary & performance art documentary series), has assisted in audio design/installation of a recording studio (for NowChild Recordings), has been an executive director of a summer youth television production program (for “Family Matters” actress Kellie Williams aka Laura Winslow), has developed local commercial spots & promotional/marketing videos, worked as project manager for Dr. Dorothy Heights organization’s biennial conference (of over 700 registered members & attendees), and has worked as an instructor for an performing arts high school & broadcast trade school specializing in television production.
Angela McCrae has since moved to Los Angeles and works closely with a director specializing in music videos for international artists such as Mary J. Blige, Shakira and Carlos Santana. She is responsible for helping to develop content and treatment ideas, while providing research for new and refreshing trends. Together they have worked on commercial campaigns for McDonalds, Miller Light and more. Currently, McCrae is working at NBCUniversal providing executive support to the Vice President of Anti-Piracy and managing accounts payable for vendors and facilitating various department needs.
